Our Process

Before we at Ozark Crafted Homes can provide an accurate estimate, we take the time to get to know you and your project. This begins with our Pre-Construction Walkthrough—a series of initial meetings where we listen carefully to your vision and design intent. Based on these conversations, we’ll offer a preliminary estimate for the project

If you're comfortable with the direction and estimated cost, we’ll move into Phase 2: Pre-Construction. This phase involves a minor deposit and allows us to begin putting your design on paper, refining the details, and starting the permitting process. We are typically in this phase for around 30-90 days.

Next up is our Contract Phase. At this point, we’ll provide you with a firm and final cost estimate for your project. From there, you’re welcome to take your completed drawings with you—or, if you’re ready, we’d love to move forward with you into the next phase: construction. This is where the real fun begins as we bring your dream home to life with the best team in Northwest Arkansas.

Now we move into the Construction Phase—where the rubber meets the road and the real fun begins. This is when your vision starts coming to life, step by step. From pouring the foundation and framing to drywall, paint, and final finishes, you’ll get to experience every stage of the build.

We’ll stay in close communication throughout the entire process to ensure everything is executed according to plan and your expectations are met. Because we invested the time upfront in the design and pre-construction phases, there should be very few surprises. But if anything unexpected does come up, we’ll tackle it together—with clear and honest communication every step of the way. On average this stage lasts around 12 months but it depends on the design.

As we near the end of construction, Ozark Crafted Homes will conduct a detailed punch list walk-through to catch any final adjustments needed. After that, you’ll have time to complete your own walk-through and note anything you’d like addressed.

We typically allow two weeks for our subcontractors to complete all punch list items. Once that’s done, we’ll schedule a final walk-through with you to ensure everything meets your expectations. At that time, we’ll wrap up the paperwork and hand over all necessary warranty documentation—officially welcoming you into your new home.
